Center Doors to Open on October 17

 

The Center for Sport, Spirituality and Character Development is nearing completion. The building will open for use by the general university community on Saturday, October 17, immediately after the 11 a.m. opening and blessing ceremony. Until that time, the facility remains a construction site with much work still to be done before the Center can be considered a safe environment for our students.

 

Limited access to the building will be available to the staff of the Institute for Sport, Spirituality and Character Development and the Athletic Department, who will move into their offices in finished parts of the Center during the next few weeks.

 

The new turf field is almost ready to go. Some team practices will be held on the field during the week of September 14.  Home games will be played when all field conditions have been  met for NCAA competition.  

 

More details about the Center will be forthcoming as the October 17 opening approaches.
