Neumann University will celebrate the 21st annual Brendan P. Kelly weekend March 12-14. The proceeds will benefit the Brendan P. Kelly, ’87 Memorial Scholarship established in 1990 in memory of Brendan P. Kelly, Class of 1987.
The weekend will kick off with a basketball marathon in the Mirenda Center for Sport, Spirituality, and Character Development on Friday, March 12. The women’s basketball team will challenge a team of women basketball alumni at 6:30 p.m. followed by two men’s alumni teams playing at 8:30 p.m.
Court time is available for purchase on Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14. Groups and teams are welcome. Each player will receive a Brendan P. Kelly ’87 Memorial Weekend T-shirt. A mass will be held on Sunday, March 14, at 10 a.m. followed by brunch at 11 a.m. Cost is $25 per family or $10 for adults and $5 for children.
All proceeds will benefit the Brendan P. Kelly ’87 Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate leadership, participate in meaningful extracurricular activities, and understand commitment, and is actively supported by the Brendan P. Kelly ’87 committee, his family, and friends. With their combined effort, more than $300,000 has been raised to help many students afford a quality education.
