Jennifer Goslin, the slugging first-baseman on the Neumann softball team, has been named the 2010 NCAA Division III statistical champion for on-base percentage.
A native of Coatesville, Goslin finished the 2010 season with an on-base percentage of .647. She helped secure her national statistical crown by finishing the season in the top five in Division III in batting average (.534) and walks (0.83/game). She also led the Knights with 52 RBI and amassed 62 hits, including 19 doubles and five home runs.
She leaves Neumann as the school’s career leader in nine categories, including batting average (.441), games played (161), homeruns (43), RBI (188) and walks (101). Her RBI, home run and batting average records constitute an NU career triple crown.
Neumann won its third straight conference title in 2010 and advanced to the NCAA Regional Tournament. The Knights finished their season with a 27-18 overall record and 21-1 in the CSAC.
Goslin was named the 2010 ECAC Division III South Region and Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Softball Player of the Year.
She was also named first-team All-Conference and first-team All-Region (Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III). She graduated from Neumann in May with a degree in Criminal Justice.
