The Arts Guild at Neumann University will host An Insider's View of Opera and Song on Friday, November 5, at 8 p.m. in the Fred P. Meagher Theatre in the Thomas A. Bruder, Jr. Life Center.
The concert features comments by conductor and opera coach Maestro David Lifton, tenor Jeffrey Halili, coloratura soprano Dr. Yukiko Ishida, and cellist James J. Cooper III who will present an evening of insight into what makes opera and song popular.
The program includes “Frisch zum Kamfe” from Abduction from the Seraglio by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; “La donna e mobile” from Rigoletto by Giuseppe Verdi; “O soave fanciulla” from La Bohéme by Giacomo Puccini; and “La Maja y el Ruisenor (The Maiden and the Nightingale)” by Enrique Granados.
