Laura Lomax Gaines was recently appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees at Neumann University. She will serve on the Development Committee as well as the Board of Trustees.
Gaines currently serves as CEO and co-founder of the Dimona Greening Company. She has more than 30 years of operational and administrative experience including government contracting and compliance, organizational and business development, financial management and systems integration. The Dimona Greening Company promotes sustainable living from the inside out and offers consumers “green” products for the household and body.
In 2005, Gaines became the president of Soul Vegetarian, the largest chain of vegetarian/vegan restaurants in the world with locations in 14 cities. She was responsible for profitable advancement of the organization, product development, and marketing. She also was responsible for the development of a new line of organic products to be distributed nationally and internationally.
In 2007, Gaines opened a Soul Vegetarian restaurant in Los Angeles, CA, with a partner. She is also the author of Grandma’s Kitchen Goes Green, a cookbook of “soul delicious” vegan/vegetarian recipes. She received her bachelor of arts degree from New York University.
