The Delaware County Symphony will provide
the entertainment at this year's Evening in Dublin on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 7 p.m.
As the calendar turns toward another year, the Arts Guild at Neumann University prepares for another trip around the world with the annual Evening In celebration. Again this year, the trip takes guests to Dublin, Ireland, for an elegant black-tie celebration focused on the Emerald Isle on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 7 p.m.
Entertainment this year will be provided by the Delaware County Symphony conducted by Adam Vidiksis with music direction by Jeremy Gill. The program of full orchestral and chamber pieces of classical Irish music for the evening includes Irish Suite by Leroy Anderson, Nocturne No. 5 in B-flat major by John Field, Irish Rhapsody No. 1 by Charles Villiers Stanford and March of the Toys by Victor Herbert.
Along with a night of entertainment, Evening in Dublin also features gift packages and a unique silent auction. Ticket holders are also entered into a drawing for two, round-trip tickets to Dublin, Ireland, donated by In the Mood to Cruise and Travel and Neumann University, and a one-week stay at the McLaughlin Family farm donated by Bill and Natalie McLaughlin.
2011 Evening in Dublin raffles winners, Jackie and Lennie Adams said, “… thanks to Neumann University and the wonderful and generous donors [Bill and Natalie McLaughlin and In the Mood to Cruise and Travel] who made it possible for the ‘trip of our lifetime.’… The cottage was lovely, and everything we needed was there.”
Proceeds of the event support the arts at Neumann University.
