When the percentage of classes at or above the IDEA Database Average exceeds 60%, the inference is that the institution’s overall instructional effectiveness is unusually high. Neumann University students have consistently rated their learning at or above the IDEA database average.  For fall 2015, this percentage was 81% of the 619 courses evaluated by Neumann students.  Neumann University sees this as an example of its vision to be a “teaching university of distinction”.  We are grateful to the students who diligently completed the IDEA student ratings of instruction, as well as Neumann faculty who make every effort to provide students with excellent teaching and instruction.

The quality of instruction is denoted by student ratings of overall outcomes in the following areas: Progress on Relevant Objectives, Excellence of Teacher, Excellence of Course, and Summary Evaluation. The table below shows the percentage of Neumann’s classes in each of the five performance categories, as compared to the expected distribution from the IDEA database, using a converted score, for Fall 2015.
