Medical Terminology Course
This course will cover the basic knowledge
and understanding of medical language and terminology used by health care professionals everywhere. An understanding of medical terminology is required for all health care careers such as nursing, laboratory, radiology, medical assistant, medical transcription, medical billing or medical coding, physician's secretary or medical support staff, etc.
Students will gain knowledge of individual word parts such as prefixes, suffixes and word roots, along with learning body system dynamics, basic medical language, body orientation, health, wellness, and disease terms. You will learn the basic components of medical terminology as it relates to each body system.
DAY: Wednesdays
DATE: September 24 - December 10, 2008

FEE: $300 plus the cost of a textbook
