The Religious Education Institute
The Religious Education Institute has three primary objectives:
- to provide opportunities for archdiocesan teachers who are seeking their professional religious certification from the Office of Religious Education
- to prepare and train adults who have assumed responsibility for sharing our religious tradition with younger members of our church community
- to aid adults toward spiritual enrichment and greater knowledge of our Christian heritage, especially since church renewal.
The Religious Education Institute offers certification courses for Catholic school teachers and parish CCD teachers. These courses are also open to any adult wishing personal enrichment. They are offered in two categories:
- For one (1) academic credit
- For Archdiocesan credit (1.5)
At three locations:
- Neumann College campus in Aston
- St. Maria Goretti High School in South Philadelphia
- St. Gabriel Elementary School in Norwood, Pennsylvania
