Computer & Information Management

The Computer and Information Management major offers career-minded students the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently utilize information systems technology to support the functional areas of a business, including accounting, finance, marketing, management, and human resources. The major combines classroom teaching and hands-on experience which allows students to develop skills in database management, systems analysis and design, computer languages, and data communications and networking. Students are also provided with a strong liberal arts foundation, thus supporting the Program's belief that computer and information managers must be well-rounded individuals who are able to not only communicate effectively in both a written and oral format but also can respond quickly and proactively to an ever-changing CIM environment.

Students supplement classroom teaching with practical experience acquired through a Cooperative Education placement in computer and information management positions.
