Established in 2002, the Neumann College Jazz Band has become a significant and entertaining component of the performing arts scene on campus. Open to all members of the Neumann community, the jazz band explores a wide variety of repertoire, from standards of the swing era to contemporary pieces that fuse jazz, pop, and rock styles.

Under the guidance of faculty member Richard Sayers, Ph.D., students assume an active role in the life of the organization by selecting music for performance each semester, and by seeking pportunities for the group to perform off campus as a service to the surrounding community. Additionally, participants can elect to receive academic credit by enrolling in the Jazz Ensemble course.
