Blessing
of Animals Set for Sunday, October 2
The Blessing of the Animals, a popular
annual event at Neumann College, will take place on Sunday, October 2, at 4 p.m.
in the Rose Garden on the Aston campus. The event will open a weeklong celebration
of the legacy of St. Francis of Assisi.
Fr. Jude Michael Krill, OFM Conv.,
will bless pets and animals of all kinds in the garden, located in the courtyard
of Bachmann Main Building (facing Bachmann's main entrance, follow the sidewalk
to your left and circle around the east wing of the building). Last year, more
than 50 pets and their owners attended the event. Hamsters, fish, parakeets, rabbits,
dogs and cats were among the animals that were blessed.
All are welcome
to this free event. For more information about the Blessing of the Animals, call
610-558-5550.
