Celebrity Golfers Gather with Neumann President Rosalie Mirenda

One hundred golfers played the Springhaven Club in Wallingford at Neumann’s third Celebrity Golf Classic on June 11. Celebrities included professional athletes past and present, local coaches, and media personalities who rubbed elbows with participants throughout the day on the links.
Players stayed in good spirits even though a mid-day shower and a late afternoon downpour halted the round twice and shortened the stay on the course for all foursomes.
The event netted more than $10,000. All proceeds of the Golf Classic will benefit student scholarships at Neumann, which is again ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top ten “Best Values” among all comprehensive colleges in the North. The rankings are based on academic quality and the net cost of attendance.
