Free Identity Theft Seminar on September 30
Neumann will present a free seminar on Preventing Financial Fraud and
Identity Theft on Saturday, September 30, from 9 to 11 a.m. in Room 60
of Bachmann Main Building. Today, identity theft and other fraudulent
financial schemes are common. This seminar will provide information to
help anyone avoid falling victim to such scams.
Participants will learn the current statistics about these crimes; methods
of protecting against identity theft and phishing; and ways to steer clear
of financial frauds and investment schemes. In addition, those in the
seminar will learn what to do if they become victims of this type of illegal
behavior.
David F. Biffen, Jr. and his son Matthew D. Biffen will make the presentations
and answer questions from the audience. David Biffen is the founder and
president of Biffen Investment Advisers, a company that has provided long-term
investment strategies to clients for 35 years. Matthew is a 2003 graduate
of Neumann College. He handles financial and insurance services for the
company.
A free continental breakfast will be served for all participants. For
additional information about the free seminar and to reserve a seat for
