Information Sessions for Degree-Seeking Adults
Neumann will host two free information sessions in October to explain
how it is possible for working adults to earn an undergraduate or graduate
degree in a variety of accelerated and convenient programs. Two of these
degree programs are now available entirely online.
Undergraduate Programs October 24th
On Tuesday, October 24, at 6 p.m., College representatives will be available
to discuss Neumanns accelerated undergraduate degree completion
program for adults as well as the traditional adult undergraduate evening
programs (business administration, education and nursing). Starting this
fall, the accelerated program is available completely online or in a classroom
setting.
At the information session, professional staff members will provide assistance
in selecting programs that lead to specific career options. Academic advisors
will tell prospective adult students if work experience can help them
gain credit and bring them even closer to a degree.
The key to the accelerated undergraduate degree program is Neumanns
six-credit courses, which allow students to attend class just one night
per week and earn six credits each semester toward a degree. The program
is designed to work for students who have some previous college experience
as well as those without any college credit. Students can bring as many
as 90 transfer credits with them.
Graduate Degrees October 25th
On Wednesday, October 25, at 6 p.m., academic advisors and program directors
will be on hand to explain Neumanns graduate degree options. Masters
degrees are available in Education, Nursing, Pastoral Care and Counseling,
Sport Management, and Strategic Leadership. The College also offers doctoral
degrees in Education (Ed.D.) and Physical Therapy (DPT).
The M.S. in Education can be completed at any of seven locations in five
counties. Graduate nursing offerings include an accelerated RN to M.S
program. And Pastoral Care and Counseling combines spirituality with clinical
counseling skills in pastoral counseling and spiritual direction tracks.
Just 15 months can lead to a masters degree in Sport Management
while a masters degree in Strategic Leadership takes only18 months.
Starting this fall, the M.S. in Strategic Leadership is available entirely
online or in the classroom.
The DPT in Physical Therapy can be earned through a combination of weekend
academics and clinical experience. The new Ed.D. focuses on address practical
school issues and creating consensus for ethical decision-making. The
latter program starts in January 2007.
Both information sessions are scheduled for the Rocco A. Abessinio Building.
All programs are open to new students and to transfer students who want
to find a personal and satisfying college experience.
The Neumann campus is located in Aston easily accessible from
I-95, the Blue Route, Rt. 322, or Rt. 1. For directions or to reserve a seat at either information session, call 610-558-5616.
