History of Nursing Lecture
Sandra Davis, president of the board of the History of Nursing Museum,
will deliver a lecture on the history of nursing on Saturday, September
30. The presentation, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled
for 9 a.m. in the Meagher Theatre, located in the campus Life Center.
A nurse who has been actively involved with the museum since the mid-1980s,
Davis currently serves as its nurse historian. Her background includes
experience in general medical surgery, Army medical surgery, emergency
room care, school nursing, and oncological medical surgery. She has taught
at several nursing schools in Pennsylvania and served on the board of
the American Association of Nurses.
She holds a B.S.N. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.S.N. from
Villanova University and an Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia

been made possible by a generous gift from the Alumni Association of the
