Neumann College and The Arts Guild will host Evening in Rome on Friday, January 5, 2007.
This black-tie affair promises to be an elegant and memorable evening,
with food, entertainment, dancing, and a performance of Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors. Fabulous gift packages will tempt everyone to participate
in our unique silent auction. Those who purchase tickets to the event are entered
in a drawing for two round-trip airline tickets to Rome, Italy.
This fund-raising event will begin at 7 p.m. with wine and conversation in the Great Hall as guests dine on a host of culinary delicacies and peruse a host of enticing silent auction gift items
and packages. The performance of Amahl and the Night Visitors will take place in the Meagher Theatre and will feature College faculty and special guest artists. After the one-hour show, the evening concludes with an elegant champagne and dessert reception complete with the opportunity for dancing.
Proceeds of the event benefit cultural arts at Neumann College. The Arts Guild was first established in 1991 to extend and enhance the high
level of cultural enrichment presented
to the Delaware Valley community.
The vision of the Guild is to continue to expose both the College
community and the community at large to a variety of cultural
experiences and productions, to enhance the visibility and awareness
of the arts on the College campus, and to develop ways and
means of raising funds in order to improve, modify, and repair
existing facilities and equipment, as well as attract and compensate
guest artists and lecturers. Arts Guild Member Organizations include
Center Stage Productions,
Cultural Arts Forum,
Delaware County Symphony,
International Ballet Classique,
Neumann College Art Gallery,
Neumann College Concert Chorale,
Neumann College Jazz Band,
Neumann College Theater Ensemble, and
Stages of Imagination.
Tickets make great holiday presents for lovers of the arts. For tickets ($90.00 per person), call the Neumann College Office of Cultural Programming at 610-558-5626.
