Neumann will exhibit the artwork of Barbara Tlush October 1, 2006, through December 2, 2006, in the campus library. An artist's reception is scheduled for Wednesday, October 11th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the College library. The exhibit, which is free of charge, is located in Bachmann Main Building on the Aston campus.
Barbara Tlush, a resident of Chadds Ford, is known throughout the area as an impressionist oil painter. She has had a passion for the arts her entire life. She attended classes at the Parsons School of Design, Rhode Island School of Design, and received a BFA from Kutztown University. Her greatest influences have been from studying with Edward Lis a local portrait and marine painter, and from Don Stone NA of Monhegan Island, Maine. Also a mural artist, her work can be found in the Philadelphia Libraries and in many area homes. When not producing murals she can be found plein air painting on the rocky coast of Maine or out landscape painting with fellow artists. She has won awards for her work and continues to show in galleries and sells to private collectors. The galleries include Chadds Ford Gallery and Kent Gallery in Maryland.
