Ninth Annual Scholarship Gala Set for April 5
Neumann College will celebrate its 9th Annual Scholarship Gala on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at The Union League of Philadelphia. To date, the event has raised more than $500,000 for student scholarship at Neumann and has entertained guests at landmark Philadelphia-area sites, including Longwood Gardens, Independence Seaport Museum, The Franklin Institute, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The 2008 Gala will feature an evening in the Union League, one of the shining jewels of history in Philadelphia, designed in the classic French Renaissance-style. The black-tie event will feature a silent auction, superb cuisine and dancing. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet Neumann students who have been able to experience Catholic education in the Franciscan tradition thanks to scholarship support.
In addition, Brian P. Tierney, chief executive of Philadelphia Media Holdings, L.L.C, and the publisher of The Philadelphia Inquirer, will receive the 2008 Neumann College Presidential Humanitarian Award.
For additional information on the Gala, call the Office of Institutional Advancement and College Relations at 610-558-5513.
