Fun-Filled Homecoming Draws Hundreds to Campus

More events, more fun, more reasons to return. Homecoming 2007 was packed with new activities and

drew hundreds of alumni, parents, students and friends

to a week-long celebration that culminated on a perfect

fall weekend.

Each day had a special highlight. On Friday, the first fireworks display ever held on campus enthralled a

crowd that gathered near the baseball field and provided

a spectacular ending for the first day of homecoming weekend.  Earlier, the President’s Scholarship Reception brought benefactors and recipients together

for conversations that were filled with expressions of appreciation and gratitude. In between the reception

and the fireworks, a pep rally and Spirit Car Contest outside Bachmann Main Building provided students with

an opportunity to express their school spirit.

Saturday’s cornerstone was the family picnic, complete with a petting zoo, moon bounce,

face painting, caricatures, juggling, rock climbing and a College jazz band performance.
Other highlights included the blessing of the new baseball and softball dugouts,
a Nurses in Cinema lecture, a pastoral counseling 25th reunion, sporting events,
and a Knights of the Round Table dinner.
