More than 600 new and transfer students moved into campus residence halls on Friday, August 24, launching a three-day orientation program and the beginning
of the fall semester.

A familiar scene on campus was the open hatch of a truck or SUV. Gregory Grabe
of Westmont, NJ, grabs a heavy bag as
his parents reach for more of his
packed possessions.

Members of the college athletic teams helped families transport televisions, clothing, stuffed animals, and
other necessities.

Under tents, student volunteers distributed orientation packets, room keys, and
campus safety information.

Resident Assistants were everywhere, answering questions from new students
and their parents.
