NCAA Champs!!!
On March 29, the Philadelphia Flyers celebrated the Neumann College
men's ice hockey team between periods with messages and photos
on the Wachovia Jumbo-Tron.
The Neumann Knights are the 2009 NCAA Division III men's ice hockey champs. They defeated Gustavus Adolphus, 4-1, in the championship game on Saturday night. Goalie Ross McKinnon, who surrendered just one goal in two games, was named the most valuable player at the Frozen Four. The Knights broke open a first period 1-1 tie with three second period goals and held Gustavus Adolphus scoreless for the rest of the contest. Read full story.
