Dear Neumann Community,
I hope that you are staying safe and well as we continue our journey through a disruptive and challenging pandemic. Our priority continues to be the health and safety of our campus community, and the continuation of a vibrant campus life with in-person classes and activities this semester, even as we take steps to protect everyone from the latest variant of COVID-19.
As we enter the spring 2022 semester, many of the protective measures that we instituted last fall remain in place. Students, faculty, and staff must be vaccinated or apply for an exemption. Those who are unvaccinated must take weekly COVID tests and submit results.
We continue to practice social distancing, and urge those who feel ill to stay home and follow the steps outlined in the Spring 2022 Campus Reopening Plan. We have arranged on-campus vaccination clinics that are able to provide first doses, second doses, and boosters. Currently, boosters are strongly encouraged but not required.
In the academic realm, we began the semester recording all classes via Microsoft Teams in the event that students find themselves sick and/or in quarantine.
Thank you for the extraordinary cooperation and commitment to our Franciscan tradition and RISES values that you have exhibited this year. Our respect for one another will keep the Neumann community as safe as possible.
As always, Neumann will continue to follow the guidance and recommendations of both state and federal agencies regarding health and safety protocols. Please check the university website regularly for updates.
I look forward to seeing each of you on campus.
Dr. Chris Domes
