Jaimielynn Cooper, an English major from Springfield, Pennsylvania, led the recent transformation of the University’s student-run news magazine The Joust. While the task has been intense and time consuming, Jaimielynn pursued it with passion and dedication.
“I was here on campus the whole month of August working on (Joust) stuff. There is so much opportunity here. I’m doing things at Neumann that I wouldn’t be able to do anywhere else. I joke that I will probably be at Neumann forever,” she said.
Although her major was originally nursing, Jaimielynn always enjoyed writing and recently won a writing contest through Delta Phi, an English honor society. She found a great deal of support and encouragement from the Neumann professors.
“I appreciate the level of professionalism that my professors treat me with. They expect a lot and they push me. I know how to act professionally because of them. This has been a great place to have a different experience. It’s been a welcoming community, and I’m glad I came here.”.
