Attending a large high school helped Kim Tran find what she was looking for in a university. “I didn’t like that teachers couldn’t focus on you in high school. I wanted a small community and Neumann was perfect for that,” she said.
Tran recently completed the accelerated pre-pharmacy program and will be attending Duquesne University this fall to complete work on her degree. This cooperative program between Neumann and Duquesne is a six-year doctorate program leading to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
“I have always wanted to be in the medical field, but I was afraid of blood. I like working with and talking to people, so I thought pharmacy would be the best option,” she said.
“The professors at Neumann helped me succeed, even staying after school to help me. I didn’t need additional tutoring because they were so helpful.”
