Is there a charge to be seen by a Nurse or Doctor at the Health Center?
No. There is no fee for visits to the Health Center. If a patient is referred to the Emergency Room or another physician they are responsible for the charges incurred.
Are appointments necessary?
No, however they are highly recommended.
Is the Health Center open nights or on weekends?
No. The Health Center is open Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM. Campus Safety should be notified of any emergencies after hours and on weekends. Their extension is x5555.
What if I’m sick and cannot get to the Health Center?
A student living on campus can call Campus Safety at x5555 and they will transport you to the Health Center.
What if I am sick and cannot attend classes?
As a college student, it is your responsibility to contact your professor when you are ill and cannot attend classes. Health Services will not provide excuse notes.
Do you offer the Flu vaccine?
Yes. Between mid-October and December we will have several flu vaccine clinics. The fee varies from year to year.
