Division of Business & Information Management

Ardeshir Shahmaei, Ph.D.
Associate Professor and Dean

Welcome from the Dean . . .

Greetings and welcome to the Division of Business and Information Management. We thank you for your interest in our programs, and we hope you find your visit to our web pages interesting and informative.

In conjunction with our founders and in the Franciscan tradition, the Division emphasizes respect for individuals, concern for the environment, and social responsibility. We are committed to delivering to our students a first-rate education with personal attention.

All majors within the Division are designed to introduce students to areas that are critical to an understanding of how businesses operate. In addition to the classroom setting, our programs incorporate cooperative education experiences in various settings. The co-op placements provide our students with practical experience that they can apply in their future careers. In addition, the Business Advisory Council of the Division serves as a tremendous resource for students seeking career advice and networking opportunities.

Adult students who are interested in completing both undergraduate and graduate degrees in the evenings will find the Division's programs cater to the busy lives of non-traditional students. The Division offers 7 ½- week accelerated courses in undergraduate Business Administration and graduate Sport Management. In addition, small classes allow for personal attention and interaction with the instructor.

Graduates of the Division of Business and Information Management are pursuing successful careers all around the world. Many remain connected to their "roots" at Neumann College and serve as student mentors, guest speakers, and employers of newly graduated students.

I hope that the information we have provided you in the accompanying pages and links assists you in your search for a place of higher education. I wish you all the best in your pursuit of a degree, and I hope to see you in our classrooms and hallways in the future!

Sincerely,

Ardeshir Shahmaei
