Pathway to Becoming A Neumann Knight

1. Am I A Transfer Student?

You will be applying as a transfer student at Neumann University if:

  • You have completed college credits after your high school graduation.
  • You have completed anywhere from a semester to your Associate’s Degree or beyond.
  • You already have completed a Bachelor’s degree and are looking to enroll in a second undergraduate degree

You will be applying as a Degree Completion student if you are looking to come back to college and complete an online bachelors in Business and Organizational Studies or Public Safety Administration. Visit the Degree Completion page for more information on those programs and admission requirements.

3. How Do I Apply?
  1. Complete our free online undergraduate application.
  2. Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions. Incomplete transcripts must be updated with final official transcripts as soon as all coursework is completed.
  3. If you have completed fewer than 12 college credits, you must arrange to have your final high school transcript and test scores (SAT/ACT) sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admission, or official GED results sent directly from the Department of Education. Applicants who have already earned an Associate’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited, degree-granting institution are not required to send an official high school transcript or equivalency diploma (i.e. GED). 4. Please arrange to have all past official transcripts individually sent to Neumann University Admissions Office. A student may also provide unofficial transcripts for evaluation as we await the arrival of the official documents. We will accept official transcripts via ground mail or electronic copies through email. These documents can be sent to:

All required materials will appear in a student’s application checklist after application is submitted. Depending on the intended major and applicant there may be additional items needed that our admissions team will communicate with you in your process.

4. See How My Credits Transfer

Neumann is proud to be able to offer free preliminary credit reviews for all students. To see how your credits transfer over into your intended major, email your unofficial transcripts to Sarah Margulis, Assistant Director for Transfer Outreach and Recruitment, at margulis@neumann.edu. If you’ve completed courses at multiple institutions, all transcripts will be required to receive your preliminary credit review. Students are also encouraged to schedule a 1:1 Appointment with Sarah to review their transfer credits. Appointments can take place via phone or video chat with evening and lunch hour timeslots available to accommodate your schedule.

 

5. How Will I Pay?

Neumann University offers scholarships ranging from $12,000 - $17,000 simply by holding a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and higher. These scholarships and grants are awarded every fall and spring to Full-Time transfer students.


FAFSA

Please file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form by March 1 prior to the academic year for which you will be enrolling. As a transfer student, you may already have your FAFSA completed for the year as you transition over to Neumann. You would not need to complete an additional FAFSA but you can access your current FAFSA to add Neumann University’s school code: 003988 to your application.

Neumann University is also proud to offer a $3,000 per year ($1,500 per semester) award to Phi Theta Kappa members. Neumann University's Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship may be awarded in addition to a student's merit scholarship.
