About the Journal


Catalyst: The Neumann Journal of Student Research and Academic Scholarship is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed student journal. The journal articles consist of academic research manuscripts authored by Neumann University undergraduate and graduate students, with the endorsement of faculty members. The mission of the Neumann Journal of Student Research and Academic Scholarship is to provide a vehicle to showcase the excellent academic research projects and scholarship of Neumann University students. Catalyst is published biennially in April, and available in an electronic format.


Structure of Journal
The Journal is divided into five sections, based on the major academic divisions of Neumann University:


  1. Education and Human Services

  2. Arts and Sciences

  3. Nursing and Health Professionals

  4. Business and Management

  5. Continuing Adult and Professional Studies


Research Award and Recognition
In conjunction with the journal, student authors of the top manuscripts will receive a research prize and monetary reward, and be honored at the annual awards convocation.
