Summer Programs

Summer is a great time to study abroad, especially if you are a Nursing major or involved in sports during both the Fall and Spring semesters. These programs are typically 3 or 4 weeks in length and offer between 3 and 6 academic credits. In addition to the quality summer programs featured below, there are hundreds more available to you. Intensive Spanish Language Program
in Toledo, Spain
Immerse yourself in the history, culture and language of Spain at Aula Toledo, a language program located in the heart of Toledo’s old city.
Program features include:
Intensive 3-week program = 3 Neumann University Spanish credits
Choose your course level: Span 101, 102, 201 or 202
Small class sizes (less than 8 students!) and the focus is largely on conversation
Individual tutoring available to students
Housing, in home-stays with local Spanish families
Daily language workshops and guided cultural activities
The program fee for Summer 2010 is approximately $1,500 and includes tuition, home-stay accommodations, most meals and laundry service. More information can be found here.

Summer in the Andes
If you really want to improve your Spanish, this unique program in Cuenca, Ecuador is for you! Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Cuenca is a charming, colonial city nestled high in the Andes Mountains.
Program features include:
9 Spanish language credits
9 weeks of homestay with a local family
Extensive travel in Ecuador
10-day study tour to Peru (Machu Picchu)
5-day study tour to the Amazon Rainforest
Group program (25 student average)

Paris or Rome with St. John’s University
Take three language or perhaps art credits while living in the heart of these cosmopolitan cities.
The program fee for Rome is approximately $4700 and includes tuition for 3 credits, accommodations in
a student residence for four weeks, and some meals.
