Who Can Contract?
Contracted Cadets: Contracting is a privilege, not a right. A Cadet must show potential to become an officer and meet or exceed contracting requirements. The following chart shows the earliest a Cadet can contract, based on his/her status:

Eligibility is determined in accordance with Cadet Command Pamphlet 145-4 and CC Form 139-R, explained in the chart below:

Age | Will be under the age of 31 as of the last day of the year of commissioning; by law - no waivers. | Will be under the age of 35 as of the last day of the year of commissioning. Brigade Commander can waive up to age 39. |

Education | Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with a minimum 2.5 Cum GPA; 4-yr scholarship candidates must have a minimum 920 on the SAT (CR + Math) or 19 Composite on the ACT; enrolled as a fulltime student. Medical | Must be medically qualified by DoDMERB or have a waiver from USACC Surgeon within two years of contracting. Contracting Cadets enter into an agreement with the Department of Defense (DD Form 4). Cadets enlist into the US Army Reserve (ROTC Control Group) at the grade ofCadet.
