TRiO/SSS Program

Thank you for your interest in the TRIO/SSS Program.

To begin your application, please select either the dependent or independent student application below. Read the definitions below to determine which application to complete.

A parent/guardian signature is required to confirm financial eligibility for all dependent students; please make sure to provide your parent/guardian’s name and email address when prompted.

For the Income Eligibility section of the application, use your parent/guardian’s income information if you are a dependent student and your income information if you are an independent student.

Please note that emails about your DocuSign application may be redirected to your Junk folder.

Application

A dependent student is under 24 years old and does not fit any of the characteristics listed below for independent students. REMINDER: You must provide a parent/guardian’s full name and email address before selecting Begin Signing.

DEPENDENT AY 2025-2026 TRIO Student Application Form

An independent student is one or more of the following:

• at least 24 years old
• married
• a graduate or professional student
• a veteran or a member of the Armed Forces
• an orphan or a ward of the court
• someone with legal dependents other than a spouse
• an emancipated minor
• homeless or at risk of becoming homeless
