Student Service Experience

As Franciscan institutions, we are called to engage our students in acts of charity and justice. With this in mind, we hope to begin a new tradition at the AFCU Symposium: a local service immersion experience for our students. 

The student experience will focus on Francis’s call to solidarity with those on the margins and will be intertwined with the symposium. Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to serve at various ministries throughout the Philadelphia area while growing in relationship with one another, learning from each others’ university experiences and sharing their experiences with the faculty, staff and administration attendees of the symposium. 

Our goal for this inaugural AFCU student service experience is to have at least two student participants from each university. For more information, please email afcusymposium@neumann.edu.
