The Neumann University Center for Leadership offers leadership certificates designed for today’s busy professionals seeking to enhance their ability to lead teams thoughtfully, strategically, and ethically in 21st century work environments These online courses are convenient, flexible, and affordable. 

The certificates run on a cycle throughout the year.  Please check back regularly to see certificate application and duration dates.

CommuniTY LEADERSHIP

Lead with courage, conviction, and knowledge. This course is designed to prepare individuals to take on a leadership role within the community. Learn to develop and sustain the health of your community, promote collaborative leadership, and understand the rules of governance.

This class is now full.  A second session is being offered starting October 17th (see below).


Leadership Habits

The Certificate in Leadership Habits builds a view of and introspection on leadership by examining the specific habits defined as the intersection of knowledge, skills, and motivation (Covey, 2020). Through reading, journaling, and peer discussion, students will define the actions that work well for their individual goals in personal and professional settings.

Leadership Values

The Certificate in Leadership Values is a vital foundational program designed for the emerging through mid-level professional. The course provides the foundation in which strategies of success are built by defining the values essential for leading a team and for facing the challenges of today’s workplace.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Bias* 

Diversity and inclusion expert and author of Unbias, Stacey Gordon challenges you to pair action and strategy in her partially asynchronous certificate in diversity, equity, inclusion and bias. You'll be given the tools to bring concepts of diversity and equity into the real world moving towards a more inclusive future (Gordon, 2021).

Leadership Communication 

The Certificate in Leadership Communications focuses on finding your voice and making your communications stand out.  Learning modules focus on topics such as  increasing the effectiveness of meetings, sharing meaningful feedback and structuring documents. Adapt practical exercises to communicate your talents, your ambitions and your perceived contribution to your community, simply and clearly (Sullivan, 2017).

Professional presence is vital to any career. Having a professional presence can help you stand out in the crowd of emails, voicemails, business meetings, and social occasions. Course includes modules in: First impressions, strategic business etiquette, networking, dining etiquette, written and verbal etiquette, and addressing client/customer needs.
