Welcome

As one of our newest Knights...welcome to Neumann University! This page is filled with answers to frequently asked questions by new students and their families. We hope it will be helpful to you as you transition to our new community. If you have a question that is not listed here, please email us at orientation@neumann.edu and we would be happy to help you!

Check-in begins at 9:00 am on your orientation day. You’ll be teamed up with a current student orientation leader (OL). Your OL will guide you through the day with a small group of first year students. This is a great way to make connections with other new Rams.

While in your group, you will meet a representative from your academic department to review class scheduling and requirements for your major, enjoy lunch in the dining hall, explore your future campus, and learn about support services and resources to help you be successful. Formal programming concludes by 3:00 pm.

New students have the opportunity to participate in a series of events throughout the weekend and the first week of school as part of the campus' Welcome Week activities. Students can participate in a service project, learn more about student organizations at our Involvement Fair, attend an athletic game, and even participate in some fun social events to kick off the semester. More information will be shared at the closing session of spring, on social media, and via email throughout the first week of the semester.

If you need to reschedule your orientation date, please do so in your NU Admissions Portal.

Rescheduling can only be accommodated if space permits.

As your student embarks on their journey at Neumann, your support plays a pivotal role in their success. During this crucial first semester, maintaining open lines of communication, encouraging self-advocacy, and fostering a sense of belonging can significantly contribute to their positive collegiate experience. Your partnership with us ensures a smooth transition, and we look forward to working together to cultivate a nurturing and empowering environment for your student's growth and achievement. Parents and families can learn more about Neumann University during the breakout sessions at Spring Orientation as well as on our Parent & Family resource page.
