Sunday Mass
Daily Mass
Location: Sacred Heart Chapel
At Neumann University, the Catholic liturgy is the heart of our spiritual life, celebrated with reverence and devotion in the Sacred Heart Chapel. Drawing inspiration from St. Francis of Assisi, who saw every liturgical celebration as a profound encounter with Christ, our liturgies aim to deepen our connection to God and one another. St. Francis's deep respect for the Eucharist, where he found the living presence of Christ, continues to inspire us today. Join us as we gather to celebrate the Mass, where we are transformed by the Word of God and the sacrament of the Eucharist. Our liturgies reflect the core values of Reverence, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship (RISES), fostering a community that honors the sacred and serves others with humility and grace.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a cornerstone of spiritual growth at Neumann University. St. Francis of Assisi, who experienced profound personal transformation through repentance and forgiveness, inspires our approach to this sacrament. He recognized that reconciliation with God and others is essential for a life of peace and joy. Our reconciliation services and opportunities for individual confession provide a space for reflection, repentance, and renewal, helping us to follow Francis’s path of humility and grace. This sacrament embodies our commitment to Integrity and Excellence, as we strive to live truthfully and authentically, guided by compassion and mercy.
Every so often, life nudges us with big questions:
What do I believe? Where do I find meaning? Is God inviting me to something more?
Whether you’ve been around Catholicism your whole life, just started showing up to Mass with a friend, or feel like faith is something pulling at you lately—we want you to know: you’re not alone.
And you don’t have to have it all figured out.
At Neumann, we offer something called the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults—OCIA for short. It’s a process that helps folks explore the Catholic faith, ask honest questions, and if they’re ready, prepare to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
OCIA isn’t a test or a class where you have to know everything.
It’s a journey. A slow, thoughtful one.
It’s for:
It’s for anyone who’s wondering what it would mean to say yes to this way of life.
We meet twice a month on Sundays before Mass.
We talk. We reflect. We learn. We laugh. We pray.
You’ll have time to explore, build friendships, and ask questions that matter. There’s no pressure, no rush, and no expectations except that you show up with an open heart.
And yes, there’s usually snacks.
Here’s the link to our interest form: OCIA Sign-Up Form
You don’t need to be sure about anything yet. This is just a starting point.
Key Dates:
If you want to talk more before signing up, come by Campus Ministry or reach out—we’ll make time. We’re here to walk with you.
This isn’t about pressure or perfect answers.
It’s about taking a next step. Listening to where God might be leading.
And doing that with people who care.
So if something in you is stirring, trust that.
Come check it out. We’d love to walk with you.
Neumann University is committed to supporting the diverse spiritual needs of our community, including our Muslim students and staff. The Muslim Prayer Room offers a dedicated space for daily prayers and reflection. This commitment to inclusivity and respect for all faith traditions is in keeping with the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, who engaged in interfaith dialogue and respected the beliefs of others. Just as St. Francis sought to understand and embrace people of different faiths, we strive to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for our Muslim brothers and sisters. This initiative reflects our core values of Reverence and Service, fostering a respectful and inclusive community that honors the spiritual traditions of all members.
