Spreading Joy

The Assisi House in Aston is home to our retired Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia.  The spread of Covid-19 has caused the Assisi house to remain in a state of quarantine to protect our most vulnerable community members, our retired Sisters.

Being quarantined, as we all know, causes a sense of lost connections.  Let’s remind them that we are thinking of them.  Let’s send some color and love their way!  Here’s where YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!

We are sending love notes and notes of encouragement to our sisters in the safest, most joyous way possible by Pinwheel! Here’s how it works:  Visit alumni.neumann.edu/sister20 to submit a note of positivity.  Your note will be printed and placed on a beautiful pinwheel.  Pinwheels will be delivered to the Assisi house where they will be quarantined, and then distributed to our sisters when safe.

Please help us share the love to the Sisters during these bleak times.

A Few Reminders

  • We can only accept emailed letters at this time.

  • To make this work best, please keep your letter generic as we can’t answer “who” is in the Assisi house.  We also want to make sure there is a letter for all the residences!
  • If you would like to send a letter to one of the staff members generically, that is welcomed also.

Questions regarding this project can also be sent to the alumni office at alumni@Neumann.edu

First Delivery

A huge thank you to all Neumann alumni and community members that submitted a note of cheer.  Each note was printed on Spring stationery and attached to a colorful pinwheel and delivered.  Please keep the notes coming!!
