Rocco And Mary Abessinio Speaker Series

Through a generous donation by Mr. Rocco & Mrs. Mary Abessinio, the School of Business at Neumann University continues its speaker series this fall semester. This fall 2022 Abessinio Lecture is scheduled for November 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fred P. Meagher Theatre.

Joseph Greco

Joe is a self-made serial entrepreneur and has been involved in a range of business enterprises.

He started his career as a youth and was the founder and CEO of PSC Info Group. The company was a leading provider of data and technology solutions focused on revenue cycle management, consumer communications and payment acceleration. PSC was recognized twice by Inc. magazine as one of America’s 500 fastest growing private companies (Inc. 500), and in 2012, PSC became the integral part of a merged group of companies that is now RevSpring Inc.

He served as Chairman of the Board of RevSpring from August 2012 until December 2016, when the company was sold to the GTCR Private Equity Group. While leading PSC/RevSpring, Greco led multiple private equity and strategic merger and acquisition transactions. RevSpring platforms facilitate over 1 billion consumer interactions annually across multiple business sectors. (

In 2007, Joe founded his private investment firm, Ascend Ventures LLC, which focuses on control and non-control investments in the technology, financial services, healthcare, real-estate, media, and sports & entertainment industries.

In 2015, Greco founded Thrivest Funding to focus on the legal finance vertical within the broader specialty finance sector. In 2019, as part of the vision to create differentiated positioning, he founded Nexiify Solutions, a legal fintech platform, and that same year both of those businesses were folded into the newly formed Experity Ventures LLC. Experity is the management and holding company for the growing portfolio of companies and funds that provide leading edge technology and capital to the litigation finance ecosystem. Experity Ventures has been named to the Inc. 5000, list of America’s Fastest Growing Companies in both 2021 and 2022. (

In 2019, he created Procapita Partners, LLC a registered investment advisor (RIA) serving the financial and wealth management needs of today’s professional athletes, entertainers, and influencers. Amidst the pandemic in 2021, Viquity Asset Management, a fast-growing boutique provider of financial and retirement planning and investment management was created. ( (

In 2020, Greco and two partners founded Duffl in anticipation of the amateur and college athlete opportunity in the emerging NIL (name, image and likeness) era. That same year, Duffl merged into NoCap Sports. NoCap is a fast growing, innovative tech platform transforming influencer marketing by uniting brands agencies and athletes. He is now a board member and active in helping lead the company’s capital raising and business development initiatives. (

Joe is part of the ownership group of Major League Soccer’s (MLS) Philadelphia Union professional sports franchise and related properties. (

Mr. Greco enjoys leading and/or supporting a variety of charitable and philanthropic endeavors through his charitable foundation.

Rocco Abessinio visited campus on October 4, 2016, to deliver the first in this series. He and his wife Mary funded the Abessinio Lecture in Management and Entrepreneurship through their family foundation with the intention of bringing to campus each year a recognized professional with expertise in management and entrepreneurship.

Mr. Abessinio, an alumnus and longtime friend of Neumann, is chief executive officer of Roch Capital, Inc., a privately-owned capital management firm focused on making investments in quality assets that will be he held for the long term. He is also the founder of Applied Bank and Applied Card System which grew to be the 10th largest issuer of Visa and MasterCard credit cards in the country.  

In addition to funding an annual lecture, the Abessinio Family Foundation also established the School of Business Professorship in Management and Entrepreneurship in 2015. This professorship is designed to bring faculty to Neumann University’s campus to teach in the proposed Entrepreneurship Minor starting in the fall of 2020. The Abessinio Family Foundation also funds an annual scholarship for a School of Business student who has exemplified excellence in management and entrepreneurial understanding and application.
