Frequently Asked Questions

How long do campus tours last?
Normally, the tour lasts about one hour and fifteen minutes.

Is the tour a walking tour?
Yes. The tour is a student-led walking tour of Neumann University with a mix of indoor and outdoor stops. Students and guests with physical handicaps or injuries who are unable to participate in a walking tour are asked to notify the Office of Admissions before your visit.  Other arrangements can be made ahead of time by calling 610-558-5616.

Who gives the tour?
Trained student workers, or Neumann Navigators, lead the tours of campus.  Neumann Navigators are able to give the history and current uses of university buildings, inform visitors of university traditions, and provide their own views and perspectives of the Neumann student experience.

Can anyone come along on the tour with the student?
Absolutely! We especially encourage the parents and siblings to come along on the tour with the prospective student.

What if there is bad weather forecasted for my tour?
If the rain/snow is light to moderate, your tour will most likely still go out. Only if severe weather conditions occur will a tour be cancelled.  If your tour is unable to go out, you may still speak with an admissions advisor in our office.

What should I wear for the tour?
Dress for the tour is casual. Remember, the tour is a walking tour, so wear comfortable shoes! For tours during the summer months, you may want to bring a hat, sunglasses, or sunscreen or a combination of all three. If rain is the forecast, don't forget an umbrella or poncho!

Can we talk to someone one-on-one in your office?
Yes. Once you book a tour you are automatically scheduled to meet with one of our Admissions Counselors. You may do this at the conclusion of the tour if you would like, or if you arrive early enough ahead of time you may do it beforehand. This is a one-on-one session between the advisor and the prospective student's family where you are free to ask any questions you might have about Neumann University.
