Recipients of Delta Epsilon Sigma’s Fellowship for Graduate Study

With a GPA of a 3.7 or higher, the recipient of this award shows potential for graduate study, models leadership in the Delta Pi Honor Society as well as in other organizations, and engages in service activities.

2015-2016

Timothy Zinzel, graduated in 2016 with a BS degree in Sports and Entertainment Management. Tim received a Delta Epsilon Sigma Fellowship to support his graduate studies in Sports Administration at the University of Louisville.

   

2014-2015

Bethany Lang, graduated in 2015 with a BS degree in Business Administration and Sports and Entertainment Management. Bethany received a Delta Epsilon Sigma Fellowship to help her earn a Master of Public Administration degree and a Graduate Certificate in Sports and Athletics from West Chester University.

Alexandria Martinez, who majored in Biology and Clinical Lab Science with a Minor in Chemistry, was awarded a Delta Epsilon Sigma Undergraduate Scholarship for 2016-17.

Matthew Janicki, who majored in Early Elementary & Special Education, was awarded a Delta Epsilon Sigma Undergraduate Scholarship for 2015-16.

Rosemarie Webb, who majored in Early Elementary & Special Education, was awarded a Delta Epsilon Sigma Undergraduate Scholarship for 2014-15.

Lisa O'Malley, who majored in English, was awarded a Delta Epsilon Sigma Undergraduate Scholarship for 2013 – 2014.

Sarah Green, a Communication Arts major with Certification in Secondary English, was awarded a Delta Epsilon Sigma Undergraduate Scholarship for 2001 – 2002.

Laura Todd (B.A. in English, 2017) won an Honorable Mention for her poem, Penumbra.

Magogodi Makhene

Magogodi Makhene, an International Business major, was awarded first place in Delta Epsilon Sigma’s annual Writing Competition for her scholarly, researched essay, “One Vote, One Rand?: Addressing the Question of Black Economic Empowerment in Post-Apartheid South Africa.”

 Lawrence Puchalski

Lawrence Puchalski, an English major, was awarded Honorable Mention in Delta Epsilon Sigma’s annual Writing Competition for his short story, “Irving Shaw.”


Recipients of Delta Epsilon Sigma’s National Student Award

This award was designed to bring national attention to truly outstanding academic accomplishments among Delta Epsilon Sigma’s undergraduate members.  The recipients of this award must attain an overall grade-point average of 3.9 of a possible 4.0, a score at the 90th percentile or better on a nationally-recognized test, and must have completed an approved undergraduate thesis or its equivalent in the major field.

Christine Perrino, President of Delta Pi in 2010-2011, was one of several recipients of the National Student Award for 2010 – 2011.
