Welcome to the Academic Resource Center

The John C. Ford Academic Resource Center (ARC) offers a variety of free services to all Neumann students. The ARC is comprised of a dedicated staff of professional tutors, academic coaches, instructors, and trained peer tutors. Our goal is to facilitate student success, to educate the whole student, and to develop the skills that students will use in their lives after graduation.

Our Mission:

The ARC staff enacts the Franciscan Mission and Core Values: RISES in our work with students.

Services are offered in-person and online: To meet with a tutor in person, schedule an appointment by using our TUTOR TRAC system.

Writing Center

Our professional writing tutors work with students to strengthen their existing skills and to raise their skill levels in writing. Academic Coaching

Meeting regularly with an academic coach could help students to gain control of their academics and improve their GPAs. Just as athletes improve their performance on the court, field, or pool by working with their coach, the same concept applies to students with regards to their academic performance. Our academic coaches meet individually with students to provide an assessment of their current study skills and develop strategies to achieve academic success.

Our academic coaching services are available to:

  • Students with Learning Differences
  • Students on Academic Probation
  • Faculty Referrals
