Neumann University seeks to educate a diverse community of learners based upon the belief that knowledge is a gift to be shared in the service of others and that learning is a lifelong process. To that aim, the Student Affairs Unit provides crucial support for student success both inside and outside the classroom. The Student Affairs Team is made up of a group of committed professionals who provide counseling services, health services, wellness and prevention efforts, student care, community standards and student conduct, housing, and student engagement and leadership opportunities for students. Rooted in our RISES values of Reverence, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship, we offer exceptional student care, opportunities for engagement on campus, and leadership formation throughout each student’s Neumann journey.

Welcome from the Vice President of Student Affairs
Welcome to our Neumann community! As you grow and develop during your time with us on this Holy Hill, you will uncover a sense of self that is uniquely you. Our RISES values of Reverence, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship will serve as the anchor you need when you navigate your college journey.
The classroom experience you will receive is top-notch. Neumann is home to wonderful student-centered faculty members who care deeply about your success inside of the classroom. In addition, we believe that an incredible amount of your growth will take place outside of the classroom. Whether you are living in the residence halls, playing on an athletic team, joining a student club or organization, or serving in a student leadership role on campus, the culmination of these experiences will give depth and richness to your Neumann experience.
The Student Affairs Team facilitates much of your out-of-classroom experience and we stand ready to help you navigate this journey. Your path will be smooth some days and perhaps rocky on other days. Whatever life places in your path, know that you are just moments away from getting the support or advice you need to navigate obstacles.
Our team is made up of professionals, graduate assistants, and student peer leaders who support the Counseling Center for Wellness, Student Health Services, TmelyCare 24/7 telehealth, Student Care, Knights Pantry, Violence Prevention, Alcohol & Other Drug Education & Prevention, Community Standards & Student Conduct, Title IX for Students, Student Engagement & Leadership, Commuter Student Programs, Student Government Association, Knights Programming Board, Sora Luna Student-run Café, Student Traditions & Class Identity, New Student & Transfer Orientation, Parent & Family Engagement, Housing & Residence Life, and even Democratic Citizenship.
Take this opportunity to get involved on campus. Attend events, go to lectures, join a club, talk to your RA, eat in our on-campus dining locations, and study. Yes, don’t forget to study! I often say, “the out-of-classroom experience on campus is where students unpack their academic experience.” What I mean by that is that we pack a lot into the courses you will take—but take the time to make friends and make meaning of that course work in the real world.
We are ready for you—are you ready for the NU you?
Pace e Bene, "Peace and all Good,"
