We offer a range of services tailored to meet your needs, including individual personal counseling for one-on-one support, group counseling sessions to foster community and shared experiences, and virtual counseling and wellness coaching through TimelyCare for convenient, remote access to care. Ms. Bonnie Yake, M.S., NCC, LPC, GCDF
Assistant Dean of Students: Counseling, Health, & Well-Being

Ms. Bonnie Yake serves as the Assistant Dean of Students for Counseling, Health, and Well-Being. Bonnie provides strategic vision and oversight for the Counseling Center and Student Health Services units at Neumann University. She has more than 10 years of experience in health promotion, career development, and clinical mental health counseling. She is committed to assisting students in identifying supports and developing skills to help them thrive at Neumann and beyond.

Br. Andrew McCarty, MA, MS, NCC
Counselor, Active Minds Advisor

Andrew McCarty serves as a Counselor in the Counseling Center at Neumann University.  He has extensive experience working with emerging adults and considers it a privilege to journey with Neumann students in therapy.  He has master’s degrees from the Pastoral Counseling department at Loyola University – Maryland and the Community and Trauma Counseling program at Thomas Jefferson University.  Andrew uses a trauma-informed, integrative clinical approach, drawing from current and classical techniques.  He strives to create a hospitable, empowering, strengths-based, and culturally sensitive space.  Andrew is a 10-month counselor in the Counseling Center with availability August-May.

Ms. Rose Adamo, MS, NCC, LPC
Counselor

Ms. Rose Adamo serves as a Counselor in the Counseling Center for Wellness.  Rose provides a welcoming and safe space to support students in need. She advocates the holistic approach to Mental Health, affirming self-care and self-awareness as lifelong learning. She is an alumnus of Neumann and has completed the master’s program in Clinical Mental Health and Pastoral Counseling. She has over 8 years of experience in clinical mental health and is committed to guiding students/clients to feel empowered to take charge of their lives. Rose is a 10-month counselor in the Counseling Center with availability August-May.

Mr. Justin Gallashaw
Graduate Clinical Mental Health Intern

Justin is a current Graduate Student in Neumann University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. As a Graduate Student Clinician, Justin enjoys journeying along with a client/student. In addition, working with individuals to become the person they want to see! Justin also received his bachelor's degree in psychology from Neumann University. Justin has worked in higher education for a year, building interpersonal connections with diverse groups of people. Within this past year, he began his work as a case manager, providing care and support to college students. Justin's work is rooted in providing a safe and welcoming space for those he is working with. As a growing clinician, Justin is grounded in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) & Person-Centered therapy, understanding that you (the client) have the power to create your new future.

Undergraduate Intern
Torie is a senior psychology major and a member of the women's field hockey and flag football teams at Neumann University. After she graduates in May, she hopes to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology and work with patients who struggle with eating disorders.
