The Student Life Leadership Team is a dedicated group of experienced professional staff members responsible for fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment. This team oversees several units within Student Life, including Community Standards, Commuter Life, Counseling Center, Residence Life, Orientation, Parent & Family Engagement, Student Activities, and Student Health Services. These leaders support student development, create a sense of belonging, and promote student retention. Whether it’s helping students find their place on campus, providing counseling services, or enforcing community standards, the Student Life team is committed to enhancing the holistic education experience for all students at Neumann University.
Ms. Bonnie Yake serves as the Assistant Dean of Students for Counseling, Health, and Well-Being. Bonnie provides strategic vision and oversight for the Counseling Center and Student Health Services units at Neumann University. She has more than 10 years of experience in health promotion, career development, and clinical mental health counseling. She is committed to assisting students in identifying supports and developing skills to help them thrive at Neumann and beyond. With over a decade of experience in mental health and career counseling, Bonnie brings a holistic approach to student success—supporting wellness, personal growth, academic advising, and career development through every stage of the college journey.

Dr. Ann Mitchell serves as the Assistant Dean for Student Transitions, Access and Leadership Development at Neumann University. With more than a decade of progressive leadership in student affairs, she has designed and led strategic initiatives that strengthen access, equity, belonging, and student success from the point of entry through the second year.
With over a decade in higher education her experience includes a unique blend of student affairs and academic support from directing first-year, second-year, and transfer student transitions; developing robust orientation models grounded in student development theory; ACT 101 support and building high-impact peer leadership programs. Dr. Mitchell brings proven expertise in cross-division collaboration, advising, and communication to ensure -seamless support between academic and student affairs units.

Mr. Chadwick “Chad” Johnson serves as the Assistant Dean of Students for the Residence Life and Community Standards team at Neumann University. In this role, Chad provides strategic leadership for on-campus housing, residential education, and the university’s community standards efforts—all with a strong commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive living-learning environment for students.
With over nine years of experience in student support, conduct, case management, and residential life, Chad brings a deep understanding of student development and holistic care. A proud double alumnus of Neumann University, he earned both his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and his master’s in Business and Organizational Leadership, grounding his work in both empathy and effective leadership.

Ms. Jacqueline (Jackie) Marciano serves as the Executive Director of Campus & Commuter Engagement. Jackie supports programs that enrich student life beyond the classroom, including late-night and weekend events, leadership development, commuter engagement, and student organization support. Her work is rooted in fostering connection, growth, and belonging in alignment with Neumann University’s Catholic traditions and Franciscan values.
Jackie brings extensive experience in community engagement, advising, and program and event planning to her new role. Since joining Neumann in October 2021, Jackie has served as Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement. She led initiatives like On the Road with NU and Homecoming, launched the Knight to Knight alumni volunteer program, and revitalized the Alumni Awards and Athletics Hall of Fame. Before joining Neumann, Jackie spent nine years at Cabrini University, strengthening the alumni community, and previously coordinated events for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
