




New students and their families can check-in for the orientation program in the Mullen Communication Center Student Multipurpose Hall (SMPH). Participants will receive their name tags and schedules for the day while meeting their orientation leaders.
All attendees will attend the opening welcome session in the Meagher Theater, located in the Bruder Life Center. Remarks by members of University leadership.
All participants will attend a session with their academic school's dean and academic advisors. Orientation Leaders will escort the participants from their last session to the appropriate room for their session.
School of Busines: Meagher Theater, Bruder Life Center
School of Nursing & Health Sciences: Rooms 315, 316, and 317 in the Bachmann Main Building
School of Social Sciences, Humanities, & Education: McNichol Room, Bruder Life Center
Participants will engage with various campus resources in the Bruder Gym in the Bruder Life Center.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from members of The Learning Commons Division on academic resources available at Neumann to support students in the Meagher Theater, located in the Bruder Life Center.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear from staff from the Business Office and Financial Aid on financial literacy skills and tools available to assist students with their finances in the Meagher Theater, located in the Bruder Life Center.
Family & Guests Lunch
Family members and guests of new students will have the opportunity to eat lunch in Bruder Cafe in the Bruder Life Center with members of the University community and their own Orientation Leaders. After lunch, family members and guests will have the opportunity to visit The Knights Shoppe (bookstore) on the lower level of the Bachmann Main Building.
New students are broken into smaller groups with their orientation leader where they will have a chance to meet other new students, take a tour of campus, and get their ID card photo taken.
Family members and guests of new students will have the opportunity to meet with Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia and take a tour in the Our Lady of Angels Convent/Glen Riddle Hall to learn more about the history of Neumann University and how the university integrates our mission into the institution.
Student Lunch
New students will have the opportunity to eat lunch in Bruder Cafe in the Bruder Life Center with members of the University community and their small group Orientation Leaders. During lunch, advisors are available to meet with students to make any needed schedule changes.
All family members and guests will attend a session in the Meagher Theater in the Bruder Life Center discussing resources for Neumann Families to stay connected and involved throughout their student's time at Neumann.
Students will be broken into smaller groups with their Orientation Leaders and will participate in two sessions during this time period. The first session is facilitated by the Counseling Center team, focusing on mental health resources for students at Neumann. The other session is a series of activities led by the Orientation Leaders to help students build a connection with each other. The sessions will take place in the Student Multi-Purpose Hall in the Mullen Communication Center .and the McNichol Room in the Bruder Life Center.
All family members and guests will have the opportunity to attend either a Residential Student or Commuter Student session to learn more about the arrival experiences for students in August and how to prepare. The Residence Life session is in Bachmann Main Building, Room 315/316. The Commuter Life session is in Bachmann Main Building, Room 317.
Students will be broken into smaller groups with their Orientation Leaders and will participate in two sessions during this time period. The first session is facilitated by the Counseling Center team, focusing on mental health resources for students at Neumann. The sessions will take place in the Student Multi-Purpose Hall in the Mullen Communication Center .and the McNichol Room in the Bruder Life Center.
All participants will attend a Student Services Panel with representatives from key campus offices as well as students more to learn about the different supports available to students at Neumann. The session is in the Meagher Theater in the Bruder Life Center.
All participants are invited to grab a snack and meet with members of the university community in the Mullen Communication Lobby prior to departing campus.
