Relationships ~ Introduction

 

 

What is a relationship?

A relationship is a connection of some kind between two things.  It involves key characteristics like trust, respect, and love.  You have different forms of relationships such as interpersonal and intimate.

 

Types of relationships

 

Interpersonal:

Interpersonal relationships are social associations, connections, or affiliations between two or more people, which may vary in different levels of intimacy and sharing, implying the discovery or establishment of common ground that may be centered around something in common.  For example, soul mates are individuals who are intimately drawn to one another through a favorable meeting of the minds and who accepts and understands each other; Friendship also involves people show trust and respect for one other.

 

Intimate:

Intimate relationships are great deals of physical and emotional intimacy.  They are usually characterized by romantic or passionate love and attachment.  One thing that is very important in intimate relationships is love.  Love is strong feelings towards a person that you can trust and care for. For example, boyfriend, girlfriend, mistress, husband and wife.
