As you prepare for move-in day, our Move-In Day Guide has you covered with essential resources to make your day great. Below is a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) that address common questions and concerns for move-in day. Additionally, we’ve tailored information based on different residential populations. Keep an eye out for updates throughout July and August; residential students will receive personalized move-in day instructions. We are excited to welcome you to campus!MOVE-IN DATES & DETAILS
Summer housing ends on Sunday, August 3rd, at 10 p.m. Summer residents interested in residing on campus in August must have a fall housing assignment. Summer-to-fall transition housing is available at an additional cost. Students may volunteer for two (2) shifts during the Drop n' Go program or new student move-in day instead of paying the transition housing fee. Students participating in summer-to-fall transition housing can move into their fall housing assignments beginning August 8th after 12pm and must be fully moved out of their summer housing assignment by 9am August 11th.
Students not interested in summer-to-fall transition housing must move out of their summer housing assignment by 10pm on August 3rd and will check-in during their specific move-in time later in August. More information will be sent via email at the end of July.
New and transfer students are invited to take advantage of our convenient Drop & Go program, designed to make move-in day smoother and less stressful. This optional opportunity allows students to arrive on campus ahead of their official move-in day to drop off belongings, get a first look at their assigned residence hall room, and begin settling in at their own pace.
Students may sign up for a one-hour Drop & Go time slot on the following dates:
- Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Friday, August 21, 2026 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
During their selected time, students may bring one (1) vehicle to campus to unload belongings into their assigned space. This early access can help reduce the volume of items brought on move-in day and provide a more relaxed transition into campus living.
Please note that students must have completed all required pre-arrival checklist items—including resolving any outstanding financial obligations—in order to access their residence hall space. Students who have not completed these requirements will not be permitted to check in or participate in Drop & Go until all items are resolved.
A Drop & Go sign-up link will be sent directly to incoming first-year students when they receive their housing assignments in mid to late July, along with additional details about the process.
We encourage students and families to consider this option as a way to ease the move-in experience and get a head start on preparing for the academic year.
New student move-in takes place on Thursday, August 27. Students will be assigned a 2-hour window to check into their assignment and unload belongings based on the residence hall and floor. Check-in will take place between 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

If you are interested in living with someone but have already been assigned housing, you could explore the option of a room swap — as long as everyone involved is in agreement.
Here’s what you need to do:
✅ Step 1: Talk to Your Current Roommate- Please reach out to your currently assigned roommate and let them know about your interest in living with someone else. Ask if they would be willing to swap rooms with the student you’d like to live with.
✅ Step 2: Get Confirmation- If your current roommate — and the student you'd like to swap with — are all in agreement, send us an email at reslife@neumann.edu with the following: - Names and Neumann emails of all students involved in the swap - A clear outline of who is moving where
✅ Step 3: Reply to Confirm - Once we receive the email, we ask all students involved to reply to confirm that they agree to the room swap. Please note that no swaps will be made official until all parties have responded confirming their agreement. If you have any questions or aren’t sure how to approach your roommate, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help!
