Neumann University is committed to making it financially possible for academically qualified students to pursue their studies at the University. Each academic year, various scholarships are available to incoming students who are admitted and enrolled at Neumann. Neumann awards merit-based and other types of scholarships to freshmen who have succeeded in their academic pursuits throughout high school and college. These scholarships can cover more than half of your tuition.

2018 – 2019 Scholarships

All students who complete an application for admission are considered for merit-based scholarships. No separate application is required.

Typical recipients have a minimum C+ grade point average and show, through their academic work, their ability to succeed in a challenging academic environment. Each year, the profile of the scholarship recipients varies based on the academic success of the applicant pool.

These scholarships are awarded to traditional, transfer and international students who have succeeded in their academic pursuits throughout their education journey.

Scholarship awards are based on the combination of your grades and ACT or SAT scores. Use Neumann’s Net Price Calculator to estimate the scholarship you have earned by your work in high school.

Scholarships and Grants

This award, in the amount of $2,000 per year, is granted to first time first year student who are currently enrolled or graduated from a Catholic high school. Students are considered for this award at the time of application to the university and will be notified after their admittance to Neumann University. No additional application is required for the scholarship.

This award, in the amount of $5,000 per year, is granted to students who indicate a desire to live on-campus at Neumann University. Students are considered for this award at the time of application to the university and will be notified after their admittance. The award is renewable each year provided the student remains in good academic standing and qualifies to remain in on-campus housing.

These awards, in the amount of $2,000 per year, are granted to first time first year students who indicate a desire to major in one of the following academic programs- Business and Information Management, Communication and Digital Media, or Nursing at Neumann University. Students are considered for this award at the time of application to the university and will be notified after their admittance. The award is renewable each year provided the student remains in good academic standing and within the specified academic program.


The following scholarships have special deadlines and/or a separate required application. These scholarships are typically granted after you receive an admission decision.

A limited number of scholarships ($20,000 per year over 4 years) are awarded annually to high achieving students from Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School. Students must demonstrate leadership, commitment to service and academic excellence. An application for admission by mid-November is preferred. Applicants are required to complete the FAFSA. Complete the online scholarship application form by February 1 to be considered. This scholarship is not provided in addition to a merit award.

A limited number of partial-tuition scholarships are awarded to students attending a Maguire Foundation partner high school. Recipients must achieve a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative high school grade point average on a 4.0 scale and be engaged in community service and/or extracurricular activities. An application for admission by mid-November is preferred. Applicants are required to complete the FAFSA and they must have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $10,000 or less. Maximize your college resources and minimize student debt. Neumann University is a partner of the SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards. SAGE is a free college savings program. You should enroll before August of your junior year in high school to earn rewards points when you (and your family) do business with select partners, including 529 plans, banks, credit unions, investment managers and others. These points can be applied directly to your tuition costs at $1 per point. Learn more about the SAGE partnership.

Raise.Me is a nationwide platform which provides micro-scholarships for high school students. Beginning in 9th grade, students can start earning scholarships for specific academic achievements. Get an “A” in biology? That’s $500! AP or IB course? $1,200 each! $2,000 when you visit campus. Continue to earn for academic, leadership, and involvement achievements, as well as the ways in which you connect with Neumann University. The scholarships earned will be applied directly to your financial aid package. It all starts with creating your Rasie.Me account.

Endowed and Restricted scholarships are provided through the generous support of foundations. However, a number of scholarships have also been generated by individuals, usually established in memory of or in honor of a loved one.

Benefactors may set certain qualifications for their particular scholarship. Some requirements may include, but are not limited to: academic year at Neumann University, specific major or field of study; participation in specific university extracurricular activities; or demonstrated leadership skills.

The scholarships listed below are awarded to deserving first year students who meet the academic requirements and scholarship criteria, and who demonstrate the financial need stipulated in guidelines created by the University.

Students must be admitted to apply for these scholarships. Scholarship details and a scholarship application can be found on the Neumann University web site. Scholarship applications must be submitted by March 15th.
